This evening I turned on the television (a rare occurance in my life lately). Strangely enough, familiar pictures dominated the screen; scenes from Antarctica. This was the first time I've seen a documentary on tv in the "real world" about the frozen continent since my own time spent down there.. The show I watched was called, Blue Planet. In addition to recognizing the area, one of the scientists interviewed did a science lecture in McMurdo for us last season.
What a strange world to be a part of!
